The PostEverywhere Desktop The PostEverywhere desktop is designed to help
you organize and manage your postings quickly and easily. Use the buttons on
the left panel to change the type of information displayed in the main window.
Function buttons are displayed on the top toolbar depending on the current
main window display.
Type-ahead/Drop-down Lists Many data entry fields in PostEverywhere offer
type-ahead lists. For example, when typing in an equipment type, the drop-down
list of equipment types appears. If you press tab or enter, the selected list
item will be inserted in the city and state fields. You may use the up and
down arrow keys to change the selection.
Some type-ahead fields will only allow entries that appear on the list
presented. These fields will force entries to the nearest allowed value when
you tab ahead.
Multi-selection When selecting items in PostEverywhere, you may use the
Shift and Ctrl keys to select multiple items. Click on two items with the
Shift key pressed, and all items between the selected items are also selected.
Click multiple items with the Ctrl key pressed and only the clicked-on items
are selected.
Sorting To sort the data in the Active, Favorites, and History area, click
on the column header. The column you select will become the primary sort
column. Clicking the header again will change from an ascending to descending
sort. To sort on more than one column at a time, hold down the Ctrl key and
click on each column you want to sort by in the order you want the sort to
apply.
Moving and Sizing Columns You may move and adjust the columns displayed on
the main PE desktop to suit your preferences. To rearrange the columns, simply
click and drag the column headings to the desired position. To change the
width of columns, drag the divider between the column headings to the right of
the column you want to change. PostEverywhere™ will automatically save your
changes to column orders and widths.
In some views, columns may extend off the screen, and you must scroll
across to see them. You can see more columns without scrolling if your monitor
resolution is higher than 800x600. Click on the maximize window button in the
upper right hand corner of the main PE window, and PostEverywhere™ will
expand to fill your screen.

Reserve postings do not expire.
Q: What should I use the Status and User Fields for?
A: The Status and User Fields, along with the Internal Note field, are for
you to use as you see fit. These fields are not sent to posting sites, or in
posting emails. If you have multiple users set up for your company, they will
all be able see this information. For some suggestions, see the About Sharing
page in PostEverywhere help.
Q: What is the difference between the Remove button and the Take Off
Websites button?
A: In the Active Loads and Active Trucks areas, you have two different ways
to remove postings from websites. The remove button will take the postings
down from the websites, and remove the entry from your Active area, placing it
in your Load or Truck History. If a load or truck is not currently posted to
any sites, it will simply be removed to history.
The Take Off Websites button does just that, takes the selected postings
down from websites, but it leaves the entry in your Active area. This is
useful if you plan to edit and repost as a new posting, or if you use
PostEverywhere to track loads and trucks until they reach their destinations.
